Building Equity In New Hampshire

Dear Connor Homes,

Just wanted to pass along an interesting conundrum regarding our new Connor home.  In the midst of the worst recession in memory, one in which more than half of our retirement savings has vanished in 6 months, we recently applied for a "Home Equity Line of Credit" and got a very pleasant surprise.  As required by the bank, an independent appraiser evaluated our new "old" home to assess its value.  We're pleased to let you know that not only was the assessment for more than we actually paid for the house, this happened when all the other houses in our community have seen a 15-20% drop in value.  Furthermore, the appraiser couldn't stop "gushing" about how well built the house was and how well it fit into our quaint New England town.  We're so happy that we found the ideal "Hedge Fund", our new Connor Home, in this gloomy economy.  Thanks to all of you. This is the perfect opportunity for you to view, touch and experience the Connor difference. Our authentic traditional architecture, attention to detail, breathtaking millwork and proportional design are all on display in these lovely homes. All of our homes begin in our Middlebury offices and factory, where our dedicated sales team, talented designers and experienced craftsman capture your wishes and bring them to fruition. Our unique manufacturing process allows us to build efficiently, accurately and with the highest quality.

“BUILDING SEASON” AT CONNOR HOMES

Image 2630

Did you know that there is no such thing as a “building season” at Connor Homes? Our systems-built homes are constructed twelve months of the year in our 118,000 square-foot, climate-controlled facility. Your inclination to begin designing and constructing your new home, and your home building time-table, is determined by you, not by Mother Nature. There is no difference between a warm-weather build and a winter build, and you’ll never find our craftsmen trimming your eaves in the rain. When you are ready to make your dream of a beautiful new home a reality, be that any calendar month, the Connor Homes team is available to guide you every step of the way.

Pellets and Our Hundegger Machine: Reducing Waste, Increasing Efficiency

describe the image

It’s been a busy winter here at Connor Homes! As hopeful signs of spring finally roll into the Champlain Valley of Vermont in the form of snow-melt, honking geese returning north, and of course, mud and more mud, we are showcasing some forward-thinking improvements in our factory. While we are known for our beautiful, historically accurate and high-quality homes, we also take pride in the speed and efficiency that mark all that we do. We are constantly seeking
ways in which to maximize time and minimize waste.

This house has 6 over 6 windows which is typical of the period. In the early to mid nineteenth century, as glass production evolved, window panes, or "lites" grew larger, allowing for fewer muntins, or dividers, per window.
