Just wanted to pass along an interesting conundrum regarding our new Connor home. In the midst of the worst recession in memory, one in which more than half of our retirement savings has vanished in 6 months, we recently applied for a "Home Equity Line of Credit" and got a very pleasant surprise. As required by the bank, an independent appraiser evaluated our new "old" home to assess its value. We're pleased to let you know that not only was the assessment for more than we actually paid for the house, this happened when all the other houses in our community have seen a 15-20% drop in value. Furthermore, the appraiser couldn't stop "gushing" about how well built the house was and how well it fit into our quaint New England town. We're so happy that we found the ideal "Hedge Fund", our new Connor Home, in this gloomy economy. Thanks to all of you. Freedom, NH - Built 2007
